Mimi Amore Firenze: Porta Romana

Porta Romana is a significant monument in Florence, Italy.  I was told that in the past, Romans used Porta Romana to enter into the city of Firenze.  Pass through Porta Romana and follow the street straight ahead and you'll find yourself at Pitti Palace, Ponte Vecchio, Duomo....and all the wonders and beauty of Florence.

Living at Poggio Imperiale was a plus because every time I went into the city I had to pass through Porta Romana.  It's magnificant and there are serveral beautiful statues in the area.  You can sense a bit of Italian history just being there!

Expect a lot of traffic in this area!
